Finishing doodles in the post office queue at Christmas time! I quite like this character who started off as a wee doodle of a pair of scissors whilst waiting for my lunch and turned into a slightly disturbing but strangely cute wee bird person whilst spending time queueing with Christmas parcels! The parcels were the last of my etsy orders before the shop shuts tomorrow and also a box of goodies for a mail art swap to the fabulously talented Jessica Gowling . I love doing collaborations and art swaps/trades so don't hesitate to get in touch if you want to do one too!

Much as I keep trying to escape from this little cutie, Percy he keeps coming back so when someone asked me to draw and make them a zombie cat necklace I couldn't resist! (there are also a lot of other less creepy, sweet kitties here - http://www.etsy.com/shop/Tanky)

Sometimes I fear I am a touch obsessed with this little fella. I say fella he is named after a beautiful female who is actually called Persephone and the recent plushy I made of Percy has pink frilly knickers so I hope I'm not giving him too much of an identity crisis!
He is just crying out for a story written around him and I really hope to get time to do that soon
In the meantime here are some Christmas Cards featuring Percy as he prepares for silly season...

With my fascination for the tiny details the Matchbox Art Show in Brighton at Polish and Pin was one I just had to submit a little piece to.
I wanted to give this a function too hence the sewing kit at the back. awwww this is the teeniest thing I've drawn or made so I would've liked it to have been a slice neater but jeez it is sooo little! There's a cat hidden behind the moon amongst other weeny treasures. To see them you'll just have to go along to the show and have a peek at this and all the other lovely matchboxes!

More doodleswappage! I love the doodleswap, it always inspires me to try something different and never fails to firmly put me on an inspiring path. Starting with a blank sheet and letting the doodles shape themselves really makes them spring into life as if they always existed somewhere in the world undiscovered....

Been real busy with this commission for Farmer Browns too which is a scrolling panoramic for the restaurant's site and also a map for the other restaurants all situated in Norwich. This was a lovely project to work on and highly detailed!

I've also been having much fun laser cutting some drawings. Want to play with this much more in depth as soon as I can afford the time. They can be bought here
Been a while since I updated because I have been drawing millions of paper dolls! The Dawn doll was big in the 70s in the USA and I was asked to draw outfits for her from original ones and others through different era's. This isn't my usual type of number but such a fun one and every little girls dream job especially if you ever owned one of these!

Some of my illustrations are going to be in the Wonderland exhibition on the Fusion Screen at the Forum opening on the 20th June. Apart from feathers very plumped for having some of my work in this I can't wait to see the rest of it!

You can buy prints of Percy and others here in my etsy shop -
